Multi-language bots

Bot configuration

Speak your customers' language

digiBotics supports 8 built-in languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Polish.

Setting your default

Open Bot settings and pick a language under "Default language". The bot will reply in that language unless the customer writes to it in another one — then it switches automatically.

Customer-initiated language switching

Customers can change language mid-chat using:

/lang es (switches to Spanish)
/lang fr (switches to French)
/lang (lists all available languages)

What about content?

The bot's reply language is independent of your knowledge base language. So if your website is in English but a French customer asks a question, the bot will translate the relevant English content into French for the answer.

For best results in non-English languages, train on at least some content in those languages too. A multilingual website gives much richer answers.

Adding more languages

Need a language we don't list (Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, etc)? The underlying LLM supports virtually all major languages. Contact support and we'll add it to the dropdown.
