Installing the digiBotics app on your phone

Getting started

Installing the digiBotics app on your phone

The digiBotics dashboard works as a native-feeling app on Android, iPhone, and desktop. Install it once and you can launch from your home screen, see live visitor alerts, and take over chats from anywhere.

On Android (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

  1. Open https://digibotics.co.uk/dashboard in your browser
  2. Tap the menu (three dots, top right)
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen
  4. Confirm
  5. The icon appears on your home screen — tap it to launch

The app opens fullscreen, no browser bars. Looks identical to a native app.

On iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open https://digibotics.co.uk/dashboard in Safari (must be Safari, not Chrome)
  2. Tap the Share button (square with up-arrow)
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Confirm
  5. The icon appears on your home screen — tap it to launch

⚠ On iPhone you must install the app first before push notifications will work. Apple's restriction.

On desktop (Mac/Windows/Linux)

In Chrome or Edge, go to https://digibotics.co.uk/dashboard. You'll see an install icon in the address bar (looks like a small monitor with a down-arrow). Click it. The dashboard becomes a desktop app that launches like any other.

Enabling notifications

Once the app is installed:

  1. Open the app
  2. Go to Notifications in the sidebar
  3. Tap Enable on this device
  4. Allow the browser permission prompt
  5. Choose what you want notifications for: visitors, chats, tickets, etc
  6. Set your quiet hours (optional)
  7. Save

You'll get an instant push when:

  • A visitor lands on your site
  • A visitor starts a chat with your bot
  • A visitor sends another message in an active chat
  • A customer replies to a support ticket
  • You hit 80% or 100% of your monthly message limit

Multiple devices

You can enable notifications on as many devices as you want — phone, laptop, tablet — they'll all buzz when something happens.

To remove a device, go to Notifications, find it under "Devices subscribed", and click Remove.

Quiet hours

By default, no notifications between 22:00 and 08:00 in your local timezone. Adjust or disable in Notifications settings.

Troubleshooting

I'm not getting notifications

  • Check the device is listed under "Devices subscribed"
  • Check the browser permission is "Allow" (not blocked)
  • Check you're not in quiet hours
  • Click "Send test notification" — if that arrives, the system works

The Add to Home Screen option doesn't appear

  • Make sure you're logged in
  • Try a different browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone)
  • Clear browser cache and try again

Notifications stopped working after a phone update

  • Reinstall the app: Remove from home screen, reload the dashboard, install again
  • Re-enable notifications in Notifications settings
